MARNYS® Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is 100% pure and chemotyped, that is, it's got a defined composition and is 100% of natural origin. Ylang Ylang has been obtained by steam distillation and has not been denatured or mixed with other oils, what ensures the properties of the essential oil.

MARNYS® Ylang Ylang Essential Oil contains the following chemotypes: germacrene D, α-farnesene, benzyl acetate. Its colour and appearance is pale yellow to yellow, with a floral, jasmine, balsamic and spicy taste, properties that favour food taste.

MARNYS® Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is a food-grade oil and is used as a food additive for ice creams, candies, sweets and pastries.

What is Ylang Ylang?

The Ylang Ylang flower (Cananga odorata) is hanging, long-stemmed, with six narrow petals, yellow-green in colour (rarely pink), a starfish-like appearance and produces a very aromatic essential oil.

Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) is native to Southeast Asia: Burma, Malaysia, Papua, New Guinea and other Pacific islands. It is a fast growing tree that belongs to the Annonaceae family. It grows over 5 metres per year and reaches an average height of 12-20 metres; its evergreen leaves are smooth and shiny, oval with wavy edges and 13-21cm in length.
