Geranium Essential Oil

Ideal for your cocktails due to its rose-like scent

Geranium Essential Oil (Pelargonium graveolens) is extracted by steam distilling the leaves.

MARNYS® Geranium Essential Oil is 100% pure and chemotyped, that is, it has got a defined composition and is 100% of natural origin. Geranium oil has been obtained by steam distillation and has not been denatured or mixed with other oils, what ensures the properties of the essential oil.

MARNYS® Geranium Essential Oil contains the chemotypes: citronellol, geranyl acetate, geraniol. Its colour and appearance range from colourless to pale yellow, and it's got a characteristic fruity taste, properties that favour food taste.

MARNYS® Geranium essential oil is a food-grade oil and a fantastic flavouring.

Geranium flowers and leaves are used in cakes, jams, jellies, ice cream, sherbets, salads, sugars and teas. A delicious tea is the Rose Geranium Tea, which is prepared with Geranium leaves, Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary, and orange Pekoe tea by mixing everything in a pitcher with boiling water and letting it settle for at least 10 minutes.

In addition to the food industry, in drinks and as an energiser, Geranium essential oil is used in perfumery. One of the best and most complete natural perfumes is Geranium oil itself, generally used too for producing soaps and detergents because its unique nature is never challenged by the alkalinity of soaps.
