Defences and energy hand in hand

Royal Jelly, Propolis, Echinacea and vitamin C

27,30

MARNYS® Propolvit contains an exclusive formulation of Royal Jelly (1g), purified Propolis, Echinacea and vitamin C.

The properties of the natural ingredients in MARNYS® Propolvit are:

  • Vitamin C, which is a water-soluble vitamin that contributes to normal function of the immune system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism (EFSA).
  • Royal Jelly is the queen bee's food and is characterised by the amount of unsaturated fatty acids involved in energy-yielding metabolism, especially 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA).
  • Echinacea purpurea is a plant that has been widely used and studied, and whose usefulness for the normal function of the respiratory system can be found in the EMA and German Commission E monographs, as well as in EFSA ON HOLD (3950, 4032, 3342).
  • Purified propolis, which by means of proprietary technology inactive substances such as wax are eliminated, and that guarantees a minimum flavonoid content of 10% expressed as galangin.

MARNYS® Propolvit is an excellent food supplement for those who want to count on harmonised defences and energy, even under situations with high energy requirements.

The beehive: source of well-being and inspiration

The beehive is a source of well-being and inspiration; of poetry influenced by its structure and way of working. The history of bees and their products dates back to 13,000 B.C. In ancient Egypt, there was a nascent beekeeping industry, with extensive land with plants and flowers. Honey was marketed for cosmetic and food use due to its exceptional properties. In ancient Greece there was a high status beekeeping system with beehives, smoking pots, honey extractors and many other beekeeping tools.

How does a beehive work?

A honeycomb is a rigid distribution made by opposing hexagonal cells or “cavities” sharing some sides and the bottom. Beehives can contain up to 80,000 individuals and consist of three castes of bees: worker bees (which are very numerous), drones (fertilisers) and the queen bee.

The queen bee is the only sexually developed female and there is only one queen bee whose main purpose is to reproduce. A queen bee is nourished only with royal jelly, lives an average of 3 to 5 years and lays up to 200,000 eggs per year during the first 2 to 3 years of life. Worker bees are responsible for almost all of the heavy work required in the beehive: protection, building honeycombs, caring for the queen, storing, collecting nectar, pollen and water, chewing the nectar and transforming it into Royal Jelly and honey by means of enzymes, etc. Drones are the male specimens of the beehive and fertilise the queen bee.

I love the taste, I take it both to boost my defences and also when I need an extra boost of energy.
