Liquid Vitamin A from Beta-carotene
MARNYS® Vitamin A in liquid format with certified high quality that also enables the rapid release of the active ingredient and its uptake by the body.
From vegetable sources: 0.5ml provides 4.8mg of Beta-carotene, equivalent to 800μg (2667 IU) of Retinol (active form of Vitamin A) with 100% nutrient reference value.
The primary sources of vitamin A are carotenoids, found in green leafy vegetables (for example spinach), yellow and orange vegetables (like carrots), and yellow and orange non-citrus fruits (for example apricots); as well as retinoids, found in foods of animal origin, such as meat, liver, human milk, fish liver oils, eggs, and dairy products.
The vehicle for the formulation of vitamin A in MARNYS® liquid vitamin A is Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which provides less susceptibility to oxidation and bestows high stability, facilitating the absorption of Beta-carotenes.

What is vitamin A and why is it necessary in the diet?
Vitamin A was discovered in the early 20th century from studies conducted on the effects of diets made from purified protein and carbohydrate sources (such as casein and rice flour) on the growth and survival of young rats. The researchers observed that growth stopped and the animals died unless the diet was supplemented with butter, fish oils or a quantitatively smaller ether-soluble fraction extracted from these substances, milk or meat. The unknown substance was then named ‘fat-soluble A’. Shortly thereafter, it was recognised that the yellow carotenes present in plant extracts had similar nutritional properties, so it was postulated that this carotenoid fraction could give rise, through metabolism, to the bioactive form of fat-soluble vitamin A, nowadays called vitamin A, in animal tissues.
