MARNYS® Cypress Essential Oil is 100% pure and chemotyped, that is, it has got a defined composition and is 100% of natural origin. Cypress oil has been obtained by steam distillation and has not been denatured or mixed with other oils, what ensures the properties of the essential oil.

MARNYS® Cypress Essential Oil contains the chemotypes: α-pinene, δ3-carene. Its colour and appearance is yellow, and it's got a fresh coniferous, terpenic flavour, properties that favour food taste.

MARNYS® Cypress Essential Oil is a food-grade oil that provides a very specific and peculiar touch of freshness to foodstuffs that are eaten raw, such as salads, juices, vegetables, etc., providing therefore a very characteristic and particular taste. An easy and fresh salad recipe consists in combining avocado, lettuce, beetroot, radishes and crushed peanuts, seasoned with a few drops of Cypress Essential Oil, the juice of half a lemon, salt, black pepper and a little olive oil.

Cypress

Cypress has been widely used in crops as a wind protection measure. Its cones have been used in traditional herbology for nose and throat discomfort, in preparations like ointments, or as a deodorant, among others.

Cupressus sempervirens, the Mediterranean Cypress (also known as Italian Cypress, Tuscan Cypress, Persian Cypress or Pencil Pine), is a species of cypress native to the eastern Mediterranean region. This is a medium-sized evergreen conifer tree. It's 35m high, with a conical crown with flat branches and loosely hanging branches. It is very long-lived, with some trees reported to be over 1,000 years old. The name of this Cypress species, 'sempervirens' comes from Latin and means 'always green'.

Cypress leaves are 2-5mm long, scaly and occur in rounded shoots. The cones containing the seeds (8-20 seeds per scale) are 25-40mm long, ovoid or oblong, with 10-14 green scales at first maturing brown about 20-24 months after pollination. The male cones are 3-5mm long and release pollen in late winter.

Excellent product... I have already tried it and I can say that, correctly diluted with another neutral oil, it works.
