MARNYS® Clary Sage essential oil contains the following chemotypes: acetate linalool, linalool. Its colour and appearance is colorless to yellow, with a woody, floral and fresh flavour, properties that favour food taste.
Clary Sage essential oil is used in industries such as food and perfume. It is often used for the production of soft drinks and liqueurs, as a Moscatel flavouring for vermouth, wine and spirits. Various civilisations, like the Greek, Roman or Egyptian, are aware of the energetic and vital properties of Clary Sage, and used it because of its positive effects on digestive activity.
MARNYS® Clary Sage essential oil is a food-grade oil. Clary Sage, together with Parsley, Basil and Rosemary scents is part of the flavours and smells of traditional Italian cuisine. It is used as a flavour enhancer in the preparation of some main courses with the famous Italian pasta. Salvia sclarea (Clary Sage) is a robust biennial or evergreen herb. It’s up to one metre high, with large green fuzzy leaves with a hint of purple, and belongs to the family Lamiaceae. Its small flowers are blue, white or pink. Clary Sage is native to Southern Europe and is grown all over the world, especially in the Mediterranean region and Central Europe.
