The mission of the Hermanitas de los Pobres is to provide a home for elderly individuals in need. In the words of the sisters, "Without sparing any effort or hardship, we serve them day and night, promptly and with love. We accompany them with dignity and respect until the end of their lives. We make every effort to ensure that a spirit of family reigns in our homes. Admission to our homes, as it's warmly called, is open to individuals aged 65 or older with low incomes, regardless of their race, nationality or religion."
In 'The Tree of Wishes', the workers and collaborators of MARNYS - Martínez Nieto, S.A. have participated by picking an anonymous envelope with a letter of wishes written by each participant from the tree at random and making them come true. Gifts such as warm clothing, accessories, and personal care items have already been directly handed over to the elderly during a visit filled with emotions, joy, music, and pleasant surprises. In addition, the participants have included personalized Christmas cards to convey their best wishes and those of their families during this heartwarming time of year.
