We participate in the DIGFOOD innovation project to digitize and improve quality controls in the agri-food industry

• Together with the National Technological Center for Canning and Food Preservation (CTNC), and the Spanish company Chemometric Brain, which develops software based on NIRS infrared technology.
• This project positions MARNYS – Martínez Nieto S.A. at the forefront of using techniques to improve the quality and safety of its products.

MARNYS - Martínez Nieto S.A. is participating as one of the main technical partners in the project GO DIGFOOD, "Digitalization of the agrarian and food industry for resource optimization and assurance of traceability, quality, and agri-food safety."

This is an innovation project framed within the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia, carried out by the National Technological Center for Canning and Food Preservation (CTNC) and the Spanish company Chemometric Brain, which develops software based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) technology to ensure absolute control of quality, traceability, and safety in the agri-food sector.

The result of this innovation project will allow the company to improve control of all incoming raw materials and finished products throughout the production process, including supplier certification processes, raw material authentication, and quality and traceability guarantees.

Thus, MARNYS - Martínez Nieto S.A. positions itself at the forefront of using techniques to improve quality and safety of its products.

In addition, this project will improve the sustainability of the agri-food sector by minimizing losses of raw materials resulting from issues related to food quality and safety. In this way, it will promote more efficient resource management and strengthen the commitment to sustainable practices.

The DIGFOOD project is funded under the support for operations for the "Support for the creation and operation of operational groups of the European Association for Innovation in Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability," corresponding to measure 16.1 of the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia 2014-2020. 4th Call for Proposals of 2021.
