Once again, MARNYS® – Martínez Nieto, S.A is present as a collaborator in the II Manual Medicine Course organized by the Andalusian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (SAMFYRE).
Module I takes place on the 23rd and 24th of February in Seville and brings together rehabilitation specialists, residents, and doctors interested in musculoskeletal disorders, so that they can learn and improve their manual medicine techniques.
Just like in 2022 and in the previous year 2023, the MARNYS® – Martínez Nieto, S.A laboratory has a space where it showcases its line of supplements for bone and joint care. Additionally, as explained by the course director, Dr. José Luis Castilla Cubero, "students work directly with Artohelp massage oil for soft tissue treatment and massage techniques, due to the analgesic and anti-inflammatory action of arnica and harpagophytum."
"Oils have long been used for any sports massage technique, both to release overload after intense training and to help reduce tendon inflammation caused by repeated exercises," the doctor adds.
Manual techniques and recommendations for joint protection
Through various theoretical and practical workshops, emphasis is placed on the importance of manual techniques for both diagnosis and treatment of patients.
As explained by Dr. Castilla: "most of the patients we treat have degenerative processes that we cannot reverse, but we can slow down their progression by protecting their joints. Therefore, in addition to correct manual techniques, we must recommend products rich in collagen, glucosamine, and hyaluronic acid, which contribute to joint protection and prevent premature joint wear."
