MARNYS® joins the actions in support of those affected by the La Palma volcano
- The company has made a financial donation, FFP2 masks for protection against volcanic ash, and school supplies for the children of the Canary Island.
The Cumbre Vieja volcano, on the Canary Island of La Palma, has been erupting for more than two months and has caused considerable material damage, as well as suffering for many families. MARNYS® – Martínez Nieto S.A. wanted to show its support to those affected.
The company has delivered 2,000 units of KN 95 / FFP2 masks, which have been distributed from the La Palma command centre to the island’s population and emergency teams to protect them from volcanic ash. MARNYS® has also made a financial donation through Caritas La Palma and has sent 84 sets of school supplies for children on the island, joining the campaign organised by the Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia ‘Together to keep the illusion of the young people of La Palma this Christmas’.
MARNYS® has made school supplies available to the Guardia Civil de Cartagena, which will also distribute toys and sports equipment to the children of La Palma during the Christmas holidays, to keep the hopes of young people whose families have been affected by the eruption.
The food supplements and natural cosmetics laboratory MARNYS®, as part of its Social Responsibility plan, regularly supports charities and solidarity initiatives, as it did with the collections for those affected by the DANA in September 2019, the donation of health protection material during the Covid-19 pandemic, and now with the aid for those affected by the volcano on La Palma.
