MARNYS enables artistic murals in the palliative care unit of Rosell hospital

  • The Cartagena-based company of natural dietary supplements and cosmetics has made it possible for the works of the Cartagena artist Jesús Lorente to be displayed on their walls.
  • This action is part of the humanization plan of the healthcare centers of the Murcian Health Service, with the aim of creating a warm and welcoming environment for patients and their families.

Four artworks by the painter Jesús Lorente now adorn the hallway of the Palliative Care Unit located at Santa María del Rosell General University Hospital in Cartagena.

The artist's creations are now part of the hospital environment thanks to the Cartagena-based company of dietary supplements, MARNYS® - Martínez Nieto SA. This beautiful action is part of the strategy for humanizing healthcare centers designed by the Murcian Health Service. The goal is to create a comforting and warm environment where patients, their loved ones, and healthcare staff can coexist.

This morning, the President and Founder of MARNYS® - Martínez Nieto SA, Mr. José Martínez Nieto, the General Director of the same entity, Mr. Roberto Martínez Moeckel, and the Managing Director of Area 2 Health and Santa Lucía University Hospital in Cartagena, Mr. José Francisco Sedes Romero, visited the murals depicting landscapes of our region, such as the Mar Menor or the Christmas Lighthouse.

Humanization of healthcare spaces

This action is part of the humanization plan for healthcare centers of the Murcian Health Service (SMS) to ensure that both patients and families can enjoy welcoming environments.

Last July, MARNYS - Martínez Nieto S.A. facilitated the creation of the 'Healing Walks' space within the Humanization Project of the Santa Lucía ICU, so that patients in the Intensive Care Unit of the Santa Lucía Hospital in Cartagena can go out and reunite with their family and pets while experiencing the benefits of fresh air and sunlight.
