EMISSIONS REDUCTION
For this purpose, one of the projects implemented in 2019 is the installation of a solar power system, the largest self consumption system to date in the Region of Murcia (Spain). In terms of energy saving and promotion of sustainable practices, this system will be able to approximately generate 1,250,000 Kwh/year, which entails avoiding an annual emission of 440 tons CO2 into the atmosphere, equivalent to the amount CO2 absorbed by a forest comprised of 14,500 trees. In addition, this will be a system without discharge into the power grid, so 100% of the energy generated by the solar power system will be consumed within the company.
Since 2020 our facilities have the Class A Energy Efficiency Certificate, which is the highest level on the Class A Energy Rating Scale for construction.
Our fleet of corporate cars are hybrid vehicles, which optimize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
RECYCLING AND SUSTAINABILITY
MARNYS® packaging is made from recyclable paper from sustainably managed forests, recycled and controllable sources with PEFC and FSC Spain certifications.
Our offices have ECOEMBRES recycling points for the selective collection of light packaging, paper and board and waste batteries, as well as the implementation of other paper reduction measures, packaging material with PEFC and FSC Spain certifications and savings in water and energy consumption.
The access door to the offices and reception have an air curtain which allows a more hygienic, healthy, and energy-efficient workspace. Also, we work with eco-friendly printers, with toners that minimize environmental impact using heavy metal-free inks.
Likewise, we are reducing and limiting the use of plastic bags. That is why our corporate MARNYS® bag is made of natural jute, a vegetal fabric environmentally friendly and reusable.
- Recycling and reuse of packaging and transport material.
- Reducing the production of greenhouse gases.
- The control of waste management.
